As a family we don’t celebrate Christmas with the usual tree and presents but we do love Christmas dinner. This year was a little different as we did away with the usual turkey and decided to have beef.
I’ve always want to make a proper beef wellington so I was put in charge so in honour of the traditional I did use turkey rashers instead of bacon to wrap up the meat and the mushroom mixture.
The ‘thing’ in the bottom left of the top of the wellington was supposed to be a Christmas tree.
Like a bride on her wedding day – blushing
Served with the usual trimmings plus green beans and yorkshire puddings.
My sister couldn’t wait to get her hands on a mini jacket potato.
We rounded off the meal with our family’s traditional Delia’s Buche de noel
