As I work and live so close to the borders of three counties (I think Americans would call it ‘a tri-county area’) I thought I’d pick one and head out in that direction. I was convinced to head west to explore the county of Hampshire today as Jane Austen’s House museum in Chawton was celebrating her birthday with free entry, tea and a mince pie.
